Everyone achieving; learning in harmony
Pawb yn cyflawni; dysgu mewn heddwch
Gaer Primary School was established in September 2014 following the amalgamation of Gaer Infant and Junior schools. The school is situated at the heart of the Gaer community. Our school is situated in close proximity to the M4 Motorway and enjoys quite spectacular views across the Bristol Channel. The main part of our building is Grade II listed and is set in 14 acres of open green space. The early years block was newly built and opened in September 2016. We are fortunate to have within our school grounds, a spacious meadow, a forest schools ‘Woodland area’ and a recently developed ‘sensory garden’.
The community, children, staff, parents and governors have been involved in creating a school that is inspirational for all of our learners. We all share the same mission and vision, believing that all children should learn through rich, engaging and dynamic projects. We are driven to ensure that our children become increasingly independent and are empowered to lead their learning.
Our school vision is-‘Everybody achieving; learning in harmony’ and is the foundation of all school work.
At Gaer Primary School we pride ourselves on the strong partnership between home and school – parental engagement is crucial in ensuring that our children thrive and ultimately achieve to their full potential.
Close links with the community and other local schools help to ensure that our pupils develop life long learning skills and are equipped to become citizens of the future. An innovative curriculum coupled with a talented team of staff make Gaer Primary School an exciting place to be.
We have a standard intake number of 60 pupils, thus creating a structure whereby we have two classes in each year group. We have a 64 place nursery and a 10 place KS2 Learning Resource Base.
To build an inspiring community through teamwork, trust and respect; providing a fun and safe environment where we all achieve.
