Class 11 – Mrs Popham
Croeso i Ddosbarth 11!
Our project title for the Autumn Term will be decided on by the children within the next three weeks. We will be aiming to provide the most exciting and stimulating activities for the children using exciting contexts. Coming soon!
If you are not yet doing so, we would recommend you follow us on Twitter (@GaerPrimary). Throughout the week children’s learning is celebrated through Twitter using the #GPSClass11 hash tag. Keep up to date with what is happening in our school by downloading the Schoop App.
Please remember that school uniform must be warn at all times:
White polo shirt
Royal Blue Sweatshirt or Cardigan
Charcoal Grey Trousers / Skirt / Dress / Grey Tights
Blue and White Gingham Dress / Grey Shorts (optional for Summer Term)
In KS2 this week we have continued to use Hwb to support our learning. We would like the children to log into Hwb using their usernames and passwords. Any device can be used to do this including desktop computers, laptops, tablets or even mobile phones. Once in Hwb we would like the children to navigate to the ‘j2blast’section of Hwb (Hwb Tools -> just2easy à j2blast) and have a go at the following activities:
Many thanks to all our parents who have already downloaded the Schoop App – our new app based communication tool. Already a significant amount of parents have downloaded the app and are using it. Further information about Schoop, and how it will support our communication with you, is available on our school website:
If you are not yet doing so, we would recommend you follow us on Twitter (@GaerPrimary). Throughout the week children’s learning is celebrated through Twitter using the #GPSClass11 hash tag.
Our ‘Parental Information Sheet’ for Class 11 can be found here.
Home Learning – Home Learning will be given out every Friday and should be returned the following Wednesday. It will consist of a mixture of Spellings, Maths and Topic work. Help and support from home is very welcome, as our aim is for the children to share their learning with you. Home Learning can be found by clicking here.
Home Reading – Children will receive a new Home reading book every Friday. They keep the book until the following Wednesday and should aim to read 10/15 minutes everyday. Many of the books have additional reading activities ideas inside the front or back cover.
Physical Education — Children will have 2 PE days a week. Our PE days are Tuesday (indoor) & Thursday (outdoor).
PE kit should be Navy Shorts/White Round-Neck T-shirt for indoor sessions and Navy Hooded Sweatshirt/Navy Jogging Bottoms/Trainers for outdoor PE lessons. We would recommend bringing PE kits on a Monday and taking them home on a Friday.
If you have any queries about the above please do not hesitate to ask, many thanks for your continued support,
